“Growth Beyond Measure is
a relational philosophy —
a framework rooted in attunement, emotional resonance, and the quiet architecture of human care within complex systems.”
About Me
Growth Beyond Measure was built while in the trenches of the public school system.
I spent over 13 years working across multiple educational domains. My career began as a pre-K teaching assistant, where I was drawn to the kids who were most easily misunderstood. That pull also led me to support a few families in their homes, outside the classroom. From there, I spent a decade as a special education teacher in inclusive middle and high schools, as well as in a specialized setting for students with moderate to severe disabilities.
I hold a BA in Sociology (with a concentration in Criminology) from UNCG and a Master of Arts in Teaching in Special Education from UNC Charlotte.
During my time in the classroom, I was recognized as Teacher of the Year in a specialized setting and named Teacher of the Year runner-up, nominated by my colleagues, in an inclusive building. But behind those accolades, I was experiencing the profound, and physical reality of systemic burnout. I know exactly what it feels like to run on empty while trying to support dysregulated students.
I founded Growth Beyond Measure because educators and caregivers need realistic, relational frameworks to shift out of survival mode, not just more performative checklists.
Today,
Growth Beyond Measure
is a space for:
Relational frameworks that honor human dignity in high-stress environments.
Professional development that centers emotional intelligence and nervous system regulation.
Reflections on special education, staff wellbeing, and caregiver support.
Tools and language for building classrooms where care is the norm, not the exception.
